During this time of year, my weekend style consists of three elements: festive, layered, and comfortable. Today’s look is just that for me. Let’s break it down.
I bought this scarf over six years ago at Forever 21 (last worn in this post), and it’s always been my go-to for adding a little holiday spirit to any outfit. Unfortunately, since it’s so old, the exact one is no longer available but I found some similar options here, here, here, and here.
Living in the south, you never know what the weather may be bring on any given day in the winter. It may be rainy and cold or unseasonably hot. That’s why layers are key. The Madewell sweater I am wearing is great because it’s nice and warm on it’s own. Adding my plaid scarf and this lightweight jacket from Old Navy, I’m all set to brace any wind or rain while running holiday errands. My jacket is from a few years ago but I’ve found similar options here and here.
The worst is being uncomfortable in what you’re wearing when you have other things to worry about, which again, is why this look is great for running around and checking items off your to do list. First, this hat – it is my favorite! I pair it with casual looks like this or just when I have a bad hair day. These J. Crew jeans, which I’ve also had for a while, are not too fitted which makes them easy to move around in. Finally, wearing cute sneakers, like these Converse All Stars, makes being on your feet all day much easier.
