Styling a Jean Skirt for Winter

In order to maximize your wardrobe, it’s necessary to restyle key pieces from warmer seasons for the winter months. One example of this is a jean skirt. Since Atlanta winters are pretty mild (it’s 60 degrees today!), an outfit like this can easily be worn in the “colder” months.

I bought this skirt back in May at H&M (similar here, here, and here) and wore it all summer with tees and flip flops. Not wanting to give it up for the season, I made it winter appropriate by throwing on a long cardigan, knee high socks, and my tall boots. If it’s even colder where you live, then add some tights to cover your bare legs! I also made sure that my colors were seasonally appropriate, opting for burgundy, tan, and emerald. Emerald is apparently my favorite color of the season per today’s beautiful Vera Bradley clutch and Friday’s colorful coat.

With just a few layers and color swaps, I won’t be packing up my favorite jean skirt any time soon. Instead, I’ll be wearing it for running errands, weeknight dinners, and casual weekend brunches.

I’d love to know, how would you restyle your summer jean skirt?
