I am desperately craving warm, spring weather, and these flip flop days in Atlanta are such a tease. A few weekends ago, it was sunny and 70 degrees. Then, this past weekend, the temperatures dropped back down to the 50’s. I know the 50’s aren’t that cold (I spent four years in South Bend, Indiana so I know cold), but I am ready for some consistent weather! In an effort to find outfits that fit this “in between” time, I’m opting for light layers and some of my fall/winter staples like this puffer vest and corduroy skirt.
I have not always been a skirt girl as it took me some time to figure out which silhouettes looked best on me. One of my favorites are a-line skirts like today’s. Since I feel so comfortable in this style, I easily reach for it in multiple seasons. In the fall, I’ll wear it with just a sweater or long sleeve tee and booties, and in the spring, I love it with a pink tee and my favorite flats. I found this skirt at Target a couple years ago, but have linked similar versions below.
With the “chillier” temps this weekend, I decided instead of pulling out tights and a jacket, I would pair this skirt with my knee high boots and socks as well as a couple of light layers on top. If you like this look, check out how I styled my jean skirt for winter.
The weather in Atlanta is looking warmer for this week so I am crossing my fingers that spring has officially come to stay!
