I am so excited to share today’s post with y’all as it’s one of my favorite things to talk about – styling more with less – something that I really believe in here on Midtown Magnolia. I’m always trying to give you ideas on how to restyle an item or re-wear an entire outfit in each of my posts. Today, I’m kicking off a new series that I plan to share monthly focused on styling one piece, multiple ways. The idea is that these pieces will help you build a “capsule wardrobe” so you’ll always have a basic to build your daily look from and you can never say you don’t have something to wear! First up, olive chinos.
I bought these olive chinos from J. Crew Factory last year, and they have been a closet staple of mine ever since. They are so comfortable and the perfect weight to wear year round. Sometimes I need a break from my tight fitting jeans and these are always my alternative. Plus, for me, the olive color acts as a great neutral but they also come in grey, pink, and khaki!
Today, I’ve shared six outfit ideas for styling these pants multiple ways. From a casual weekend to a dressy date night, these pants can take you places! I even think they can be work appropriate when styled with a blouse and heels like in this post. Plus, they can take you through the seasons – in the summer, pair them with a tank and sandals, and in the winter, add a cable knit sweater, scarf, and booties. The looks above are ideal for this month of in-between temps, and when you pair these olive chinos with creams, pinks, and blues, they are sure to become your go-to spring pant!
Which look is your favorite?
