The It Print for Spring: Gingham

As of last year, I noticed gingham coming back as a popular print. At first, I questioned whether it looked too much like a summer picnic tablecloth, but I quickly realized when placed on the right styled item, gingham would become the it print of the season. My first gingham purchase was this peplum top from J. Crew last fall, and it has quickly become one of my favorite tops for the warmer months. Today, I layered my faux leather jacket over it in order to give it some edge. In the summer, I love wearing it with my white shorts and sandals.

This year, gingham is everywhere! J. Crew has released a number of cute items with the print from dresses  to off the shoulder tops. Another one of my favorite places to shop, Asos, also has some great pieces like this dress, this skirt, and this bathing suit. All of these items are so classic and chic and remind me of the outfits Audrey Hepburn wore in the late 50s and early 60s.

I’d love to know, do you love the print as much as I do? What’s your favorite gingham piece of the season?

P.S. My sister got me the adorable necklace I’m wearing in this post. It’s called the Doorstep Necklace and you can personalize it with any address number that you call home. I have the street number of my first home I ever bought, which is now my first home with Patrick as well, so it is twice as meaningful!

I went online to Banana Republic this morning to order a black and white gingham maxi dress that I was thinking about and it was already sold out !
    It is a cute fabric.
