How to Style a Basic Shift Dress 3 Ways

I’m so excited about today’s post as it’s all about styling more with less. I picked out a basic white shift dress that I actually wore for my bachelorette party and styled it for three different occasions. Keep reading to see how I would wear this dress to the office, a night out, and brunch with the girls and then shop similar dresses that could easily be styled for multiple occasions! Let me know in the comments which look is your favorite!

Look #1: The Office

Dress (another similar version) // Cardigan // Flats (similar)

By adding a basic cardigan and pairing this dress with pointed toe flats, it instantly becomes a chic office appropriate look. You could also swap the cardigan for a blazer and the flats for closed toe heels for your next business meeting.

Look #2: A Night Out

Dress // Heels // Clutch (similar)

Adding a bold heel and gold clutch, makes this outfit perfect for a night out. As I mentioned, I actually wore this look for the night we went out during my bachelorette party! It would also make for a fun date night outfit.

Look #3: Brunch with the Girls

Dress // Kimono (similar) // Flats (similar)

A solid colored shift dress, especially a white one like this, is the perfect blank canvas for adding a fun patterned kimono. I paired it with my comfy pink Gap flats for a girly, yet chic look, perfect for brunch or a shower.

If you want to recreate this look, you can shop some of my favorite basic shift dresses below. Each of these can easily be styled for multiple occasions by simply changing up the accessories. I’ve also picked out some of my favorite cardigans, blazers, heels, and kimonos so you can mix-and-match to create your own look! Happy Wednesday!
