This past weekend I attended a friend’s baby shower, and it brought back memories of my own that occurred in early June. I had a hard time finding what I thought was the perfect dress for my shower, but ultimately decided on this pink floral wrap one. I loved the femininity of it, how it flowed, and most importantly, the fact that it could be worn post pregnancy. The high tie waist makes it bump friendly without looking maternity. And, bonus, it’s even nursing friendly!
Remembering how hard it was for me to find a dress that I loved for my baby shower, I thought I would pick out a few of my favorites for any moms-to-be out there. Like my dress, I made sure all of the options that I selected can be worn post-partum. These dresses either don’t look like maternity dresses and/or they are nursing friendly!
Stalking up on nursing friendly clothing items is something I did not think about. So, I’ll also be doing a post featuring some of my favorite nursing friendly pieces.
Another mom-to-be clothing post I plan to do is on my favorite places to buy maternity clothes. The dresses I picked out for today’s post come from a few of these favorite maternity brands including Asos, Loft, Hatch, and Ingrid & Isabel. I’m obsessed with Hatch because they’re clothes are specifically tailored to allow wear before, during, and after pregnancy. Their pieces are a little pricey. But, in my opinion, they are worth it since you can get plenty of wear out of them.
The dresses I selected below would also make great options for a maternity shoot! I had wanted to do one and then Andrew decided to come 5 weeks early so I didn’t get to. Thankfully, I have plenty of blog pictures from when I was pregnant to look back on!
