A Pink Kimono + Green Cargo Pants
For fall, I typically gravitate towards more traditional hues such as navy, burgundy, and brown. However, every now and then, it’s fun to mix it up. A couple years ago, I styled my favorite J. Crew green chinos with a light pink blouse and loved the green and pink combo. When I saw this kimono at Loft, I instantly thought of recreating a more casual version of that look from a few years ago with my green cargo pants.
To keep the look casual and not too busy, I opted for a neutral grey flutter sleeve tee. This t-shirt is one of the softest tees I’ve ever owned! I love that it’s not too fitted, and it’s perfect for layering. Plus, the flutter sleeve detailing is so cute!
Kimonos are such a great way to easily transform a basic look. I love that this one has a more casual feel then the other floral one that I own (you can see it here). I’ve thrown this one over my sleeveless sweater, my favorite white tee and jeans, and even dresses. It’s also been one of my favorite clothing pieces because I found that I can use it as a nursing cover! The extra fabric is perfect for hiding little Andrew under and keeping me covered in public 🙂
Since becoming a mom, it’s harder to find the time or the motivation to get dressed up. Most days, I just want to stay in my workout clothes. However, this look is so comfy and easy that it’s made getting dressed a little more manageable.
