One of my favorite types of dresses for fall is the shirt dress. For me, it’s a staple in my fall wardrobe. I love that you can wear it with flats and a light scarf during the early fall days, like I did in today’s post, and then boots and a jacket when it gets cooler. The very first post I ever wrote for Midtown Magnolia featured a plaid shirt dress from Gap that I still have and wear to this day!
I actually bought this dress over the summer after I had Andrew as it was the perfect nursing friendly dress. Another great reason to love shirt dresses! The material is the softest jersey and feels like you are wearing a nightgown. While I’m not typically drawn to black, I do love how it looks paired with tans and browns for fall. There’s something so classic and chic about this color combo!
To mix up this otherwise neutral look, I added my leopard flats which have quickly become my go-to shoe this fall. You can see how I styled them last here and here, and you’ll definitely be seeing them on the blog again soon!
