I have A LOT of little white dresses, which I last mentioned in this post about little white dresses for the bride-to-be. I bought plenty of little white dresses while engaged. However, I admit, my collection continues to grow even after getting married! The little white dress in today’s post, I bought a few weeks ago to wear for our newborn photos and loved the way it turned out. However, I needed to find a way to get more wear out of it besides that one session. I wanted to wear this little white dress for fall so with a few simple additions – a faux leather jacket and leopard flats – I styled it for the new season!
I’ve always been hesitant to wear a black leather jacket. I thought it was a little too harsh for my girly wardrobe. However, with an extra feminine and delicate dress like today’s, it offers the perfect contrast! To complete this edgy yet chic look, I added my pointed toe leopard flats. I just love how it turned out. I’ve found myself reaching for this leather jacket more times then I would’ve thought now that I took a chance on it with this look!
It’s not always easy stepping outside of your fashion comfort zone. However, I encourage you to give it a try every now and then. You might find a piece that you end up loving!
Also, if you have as many little white dresses as I do, don’t be afraid to wear them year-round. You can find more styling inspiration for little white dresses in this post.
I found this dress through a boutique I follow on Instagram called Piper and Scoot. They have the cutest, most affordable dresses so be sure to check them out!
