Whenever I want to feel pulled together, yet still be comfortable, I instantly reach for my green J. Crew chinos. I like to think of them as my go-to pants for a casual fall outfit. I last talked about them in my semi-casual mom uniform post and wanted to show you another way to style them.
Today, I paired them with my pink “sweatshirt” from Loft and cozy neutral scarf from H&M. After my plaid scarf, this is my next favorite one this season. It’s so warm, goes with everything, and is less than $10!
I’ve mentioned it before but my two favorite colors to style with green chinos are blue and pink. You can see my two “blue” looks here and here and my last pink look here. I bought this pink sweatshirt from Loft earlier in the season so it’s unfortunately sold out but I found a similar sweatshirt option here and sweater option here.
I love how pink and green together create a trans-seasonal look. Sub the loafers for booties and this look is perfect for winter. Lose the scarf, add a long necklace and a pair of flats, and this look is ready for spring!
I’ve already worn this casual fall outfit multiple times this season from a day of travel to a day of running errands with Andrew. This look is the perfect comfy yet cute outfit! If you don’t yet own a pair of chinos, I highly recommend adding them to your capsule wardrobe. They come in a number of colors with my personal favorites being green and navy.
In the fall and winter, I love adding a scarf to complete my look. Not only does it add extra warmth but it also adds dimension to an otherwise plain outfit. Have you ever heard about the rule of the third piece? I talked about it in this post and try to follow it when putting together most of my outfits.
