Over the next three Wednesday’s, I’ll be sharing three outfits featuring these olive green J. Crew chinos. In case you’re new to Midtown Magnolia, I’m all about sharing ways to style more with less. As a mom, I don’t have a lot of time to think about what I’m wearing every day. And, I definitely don’t have the time to shop like I used to. For these reasons, I try to get the most wear out of each clothing piece that I own, and I want to help you do the same! I’ll be continuing this series with more pieces next month and will also be sharing a recap of how I style more with less on the last day of each month. You can see October’s recap here. So, now for today’s chino outfit, which I like to call a semi-casual mom uniform!
Two of my favorite colors to wear with these chino pants are pink and blue. You can see how I last styled them with pink here and with blue here and here. I think these combinations are unexpected and so fresh. I honestly treat these chinos as a neutral since they really pair well with so many colors. For today, I am pairing them with my current favorite button down from Target’s A New Day brand. Unfortunately, it’s almost sold out but I also love this embellished one which is very similar.
I love that the floral applique detailing on this button down makes it more unique than your traditional striped button down. I last wore it here and here, both times with white jeans. Paired with these green chinos, it makes for a semi-casual look perfect for running errands and taking care of little Andrew. Not to mention, it’s a nursing friendly piece! Thus, the perfect mom uniform!
Be sure to check back next Wednesday to see how I re-styled these green chinos. It’s a look perfect for traveling or lounging around Thanksgiving weekend. For now, you can shop these chinos here!
