The Perfect Holiday Travel Outfit

Christmas is in less than a week! Can you believe it? I’ll be wearing cozy, casual, festive outfits like this one from here on out. This would be the perfect holiday travel outfit if you’re leaving home for the holidays. Before Thanksgiving, I shared my travel style tips with you here and today’s look checks (almost) all those boxes – comfy pants, layers, breathable top, and slip on shoes. Whether you’re flying or driving, this outfit would be perfect.

When I travel, I want to be comfortable yet still look put together. I find that a simple top or sweater, jeans, cute flats, and a “third piece” such as a scarf, wrap, or vest create a chic, effortless look.

This red pom sweater from J. Crew has a nice loose fit and is the perfect holiday color. It’s sold out on J. Crew’s site but I found it at Nordstrom here. I also love this red sweater from J. Crew. My flannel blanket scarf, which I last featured in this post, is a great cold weather layer and again adds a festive touch to this holiday travel outfit. I love that it’s big enough to wrap around my shoulders for extra warmth in the car or plane.

While jeans are not always the most comfortable travel option, I love these stretchy ones from Loft. They feel like leggings while still looking like jeans. These gold flats are a go-to this time of year and are easy to slip on and off through airport security or while cozying up in the car.

I’d love to know, what’s your go-to travel outfit?
