It is cold in Atlanta! While I know it’s nothing compared to the bomb cyclone hitting the northeast (we don’t even have snow here), it’s still making me want to pull out all the cozy sweaters and scarves. This Madewell sweater from a few years ago (last styled here) has always been my favorite cold weather sweater as it’s perfect for layering but warm enough on it’s own. Plus, the cream color pairs well with almost any scarf.
If you’ve been keeping up with my outfit posts, then you know that I am obsessed with this maroon travel wrap from Target’s A New Day collection. I love that you can wear it as a wrap (like I did here, here, here, and here) or as a scarf like I did today and also here. It’s such a pretty color and perfect for wrapping up in in this cold weather. I love how it pops against this cream sweater but also love it paired with pink. Pink and maroon has been one of my favorite color combos as of late (see this look, this one, and this one)!
There are so many pretty, cozy sweaters out right now and even some that are on sale. I definitely think investing in a few quality, timeless sweaters and cardigans is a great place to spend money on your wardrobe. Especially if you can scoop up some nice wool and cashmere ones while they’re on sale. I’ve rounded up 15 of my current favorites below, some are on sale and all of them are timeless enough to wear for years to come.
Cozy sweaters, jeans, a scarf, and a velvet hair tie has become my uniform as of late. It’s an easy outfit to throw together and finishing it with a bow makes me feel put together. I snagged the J. Crew velvet hair tie when they still had the pink one in stock (you can see how I wore it in this post and on my Instagram). Ever since I purchased the J. Crew one, I’ve unintentionally started to collect velvet hair ties. I found this maroon one at Old Navy for just $4 (I can’t find it online but this one at Shein is almost identical for $5) and quickly added it to my rotation. Below are a few more velvet hair ties that I’m currently loving!
