Happy Friday! This week flew by on account of the fact that we had Monday off and then a snow day here in Atlanta on Wednesday. I had to work but Patrick was off so it was nice to have him home an extra day. On top of all this, Patrick’s mom is also visiting this week and the extra company and help with Andrew has been so nice!
Patrick and I took full advantage of the extra help by going on our first official date night since Andrew was born! We took a trip to Chicago for a wedding back in October but other than that we have not been on a date night in almost seven months! I was so excited and couldn’t wait to pick out the perfect outfit, but it was freezing out so I also had to be practical.
Since I needed something to cover my arms, I opted for this open cardigan that I recently bought at J. Crew. It is so soft and cozy, perfect for staying warm in the movie theater. By the way, we saw Ladybird and it was SO GOOD!
For my pants, I went with my high waisted J. Crew jeans that tuck nicely into my boots and also have just the right amount of stretch allowing me to eat plenty of chips and salsa at dinner! . We went to Superica for dinner which is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta!
Finally,I finished the look with these crescent hoop earrings from Anthropologie. I’ve never really been a hoop girl, but I love that these have a little character to them and dress up my look a more than a simple stud.
So there you have it. What I wore on date night to stay warm yet still feel pretty and dressed up. A feminine top, a cozy sweater, heeled otk boots, high waisted jeans, and some hoop earrings and you’re ready for a night out!
