Happy Friday! Welcome to the third and final look featuring this Sezane skirt. You can see the previous two looks here and here! Today, I wanted to show you a more casual way to style this skirt, perfect for a cute weekend outfit as the weather slowly starts to warm up. With this look, I wanted to also show you that it’s possible to style a skirt with sneakers!
Since my current favorite tee, is this graphic Paris tee (last seen here), I opted to pair it with my Parisian skirt for a stylish, yet laid back ensemble. You could just as easily opt for a plain white tee, a navy one, or a striped one, like I did on Monday!
Bare legs and short sleeves aren’t quite in season, so I added my denim jacket for a little extra warmth. My jean jacket is a wardrobe staple through spring. It’s perfect for throwing over dresses, tanks, and in today’s case, tees. This one is from Old Navy and is a great buy for the price. If you’re looking to invest in a denim jacket though, I’d recommend this Madewell version!
Now, for the sneakers. Since I really wanted to dress this skirt down, I opted for my white Keds look alike sneakers. A classic pair of sneakers like these pair well with dresses, skirts, shorts, and pants. You can see how I previously styled them with dresses here, here, and here, and with pants here, here, and here! I’ve found that the key to pairing sneakers with skirts and dresses is to opt for a classic, neutral color – like white, tan, or navy – and choose a pair with a flat sole. Think Keds, Converse, Soludos. If I didn’t want this look to be quite as casual, I would’ve opted for my navy ballet flats.
There you have it – how I would style a skirt with sneakers 🙂 I hope you enjoyed my red skirt series this week! And, that you now feel confident in styling this beautiful investment piece multiple ways! Have a great weekend!
